Special Adornments for Your Aparmita Statue

Our Nepali master artisan created our beautiful Aparmita statue with the jewelry and crown of a Bodhisattva. At the request of the buyer, we would be happy to adorn the crown and jewels of the statue with turquoise or red stones. At no extra charge, the skilled artisan can embellish the statue with these special decorations before delivery.

The color turquoise is a special combination of blue and green. Indeed, blue signifies the purity of the Buddhas and green symbolizes their readiness to act. Additionally, devotees meditating on the color red can transform the delusion of attachment into the wisdom of discernment. The color red is often worn by other deities to pay tribute to Amitabha Buddha. This Aparmita statue will wear the adornments very well and they will inspire all those who lay their eyes on your new statue.

Use Aparmita Statues for Long Life

In Tibetan Buddhism, Aparmita is renown for his longevity attribute. As a result, Aparmita statues are used to perform longevity rituals. Devotees of Aparmita attend the rituals in the hopes of prolonging life. As part of the ritual, a replica of Aparmita’s ambrosia vase is filled with wine. The wine is then consecrated and given to devotees who partake of it.

Furthermore, special pills are symbolically recreated from buttered dough and consumed with the wine in hopes of benefiting from Aparmita’s powers of longevity. Indeed, Aparmita is one of the three Tibetan deities of long life along with White Tara and Namgyalma.

Affiliation with Amitabha Buddha

Aparmita is an embodiment of Amitabha Buddha’s longevity attribute. Amitabha assumes the form of Aparmita by using an embodiment called “sambhogakaya”. Sambhogakaya is a tool that is available for Buddhas and high level Bodhisattvas to reach sentient beings. Therefore, Aparmita is the embodiment that Amitabha has chosen for longevity.
